Thoughts
I met Barrie when I went to work at ICI in Brixham in 1970. I was on my 6 month work placement from university at the time. Some days were quite lonely, one Sunday Barrie invited me to Sunday dinner with his wife and daughter Claire. I've remained in contact with the family all these years and Claire was bridesmaid at my wedding in 1973.
Barrie was a kind honest gentleman and it has been a pleasure to have known him. I have many happy memories of the time with him and his family, which I will cherish.

Great to have kept in touch since our student days, but so sad to hear now of his loss. Goodbye to an old friend.
